Nagpur: ‘Teen Sitare Tees Tarane’, staged by Sursangam and Meera Nritya Niketan, gave music lovers a whiff of fresh air with a colourful palette of 30 songs of three composers, presented by versatile singers at Scientific Society Hall, on Saturday.
The evening took off on high notes of Lata Mangeshkar’s ‘Solah baras ki baali umar’ and continued to soar with ‘Aey dil-e-nadan’. Other super hit compositions like ‘Inhi logon ne le liya dupatta mera’, ‘Roz sham aati thi’, ‘Yeh hai reshami zulfon ka andhera’ and ‘Who hain zara khafaa khafaa’ were sung which struck a chord with the audience.
People were seen swaying to the music of Mohammed Rafi’s songs like ‘Teri galiyon mein na rakhenge kadam’ and ‘Mujhe kitna pyar hai tumse’. The singer’s acclaimed songs like ‘Toote hue khwabon ne’, ‘Raat ke humsafar’, ‘Maine puchha chand se’, ‘Ehsaan tera hoga mujhpar’ and ‘Banda parvar thaam lo jigar’ took the audience down memory lane.
Duets ‘Bekhudi mein sanam’, ‘O mere sona re sona re’, ‘Jo wada kiya wo nibhana padega’ and ‘Ye dil tum bin kahin lagta nahin’ were also played.
Radhika Pawar, who featured in a popular television show, rendered ‘Yeh hai reshami zulfon ka andhera’ that left the audience spellbound and got an encore.
Singers Jinash Sheikh, Surabhi Dhomne, Devika Nayar and Dnyanesh Varma rendered the songs beautifully.
The accompanying artistes were Mangesh Patle and Vikrant Limje (keyboard), Manoj Vishwakarma (guitar), Amar Shende (violin), Sachin Dhomne (tabla), Vikram Joshi (minor) and Pavan (octapad).

The event was good. We rarely get a chance to watch such programmes. The quality of lights and sound was good. Surabhi Dhomne’s performance impressed me the most

The singers were good and I enjoyed the event a lot. The anchor did a fine job by speaking to the point. My favourite part was when Dnyanesh was singing
