BILLY CONNOLLY: MADE IN SCOTLAND
Miniseries final ★★★★
9pm, Seven
It's a shame that this trip down memory lane stops after two episodes because despite the vast distance of ground covered by the knighted comedian, it seems there's still much reminiscing to be done. Here, his Scottish creative peers deconstruct his broad appeal, and why he got away with so much swearing, particularly with the blue rinse set. The answer, to both, it seems, lies in his searing honesty. The man himself shares priceless words of wisdom.
BAD MOTHERS
★★★
9pm, Nine
If any network knows how to drag out a big reveal, it's Nine. This sisterhood drama might feel hastily put together at times, but it still manages to leave us busting to know whodunit. There's ambiguity about which of the two men vying for the attentions of stitched-up doctor, Sarah (Tess Haubrich), is capable of a crime of passion. Meanwhile, a custody nightmare erupts between the lesbian exes. The knives – and the compromising photos – come out.
Q&A
★★★
9.35pm, ABC
After a spate of themed debates, Q&A returns to real-time politics with the topic du jour being the results of the NSW election. Representing the Liberal Party and presumably breaking his silence on his next career move is MP Craig Laundy. In the Labor camp is Tony Burke. For something completely different, celebrated American feminist writer Roxane Gay (pictured) is also on the panel.
