Kashmir post Pulwama: A report on preparedness for 2019 Lok Sabha elections

The Election Commission of India, which has announced a five-phase Lok Sabha poll for Jammu and Kashmir, has two critical challenges: holding peaceful elections in Pulwama and other terrorist-hit pockets of Kashmir as well as securing the lives of voters on the day of poll in 79 booths that fall within Pakistan's shelling range. The elections in the six constituencies in the state are scheduled between April 11 and May 6 across 11,313 polling stations in 22 districts.
