AHMEDABAD: The exams for class X and XII conducted by Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) ended on March 23. The exams had started on March 7.
According to the board officials, the assessment of about 18 lakh answer sheets has begun from March 16 and the teachers have been asked to complete the process by second week of April. Afterwards, the teachers would be engaged in election-related assignments, they added.
"This year, there were 105 copy cases registered in class X exams and 95 in class XII. All DEOs have been asked to review the CCTV cameras from different centres under their jurisdiction and report any discrepancy or incidents within 20 days. Errant students will be called upon for a hearing after the process is over," said a senior board official.
The board officials have also registered over 15 cases for violation of rules such as impersonation of a student inside an examination hall, using mobile phone or smart gadgets during examination and not submitting the answer sheet to the examiner. Police officials have been asked to probe some of the cases after filing of FIR, said officials.
