Trichy: R Padmanabhan has taken over as general manager (in-charge) of the Bharat Heavy Electrical Limited (Bhel) Trichy comprising Bhel power plant piping unit at Thirumayam, Bhel piping centre at Chennai, and Bhel industrial valves plant at Goindwal, Punjab. He succeeds R Rajamanohar, executive director, who retired on superannuation on Saturday.Prior to his elevation, Padmanabhan was GM (in-charge) of corporate quality and business excellence at Bhel’s corporate office at New Delhi.
The 57-year-old is a mechanical engineering graduate who joined Bhel Trichy as an engineer trainee in 1983 has over 35 years of professional experience both at Bhel Trichy division and at Bhel corporate head office, New Delhi. An alumnus of the Alagappa Chettiar government college of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi, Padmanabhan joined the Commercial (Fossil Boilers) group of Bhel Trichy. tnn
