Bigger role for Renuka Choudhury in Telangana?

| Mar 24, 2019, 06:56 IST
Renuka Choudhury, a three-time Union minister who has filed her nomination from Khammam LS seat, might be looked upon to take a bigger role in shoring up Congress in Telangana. The party has lost nine of its 19 MLAs to TRS in just three months of winning the assembly elections and now risks losing its status as main opposition in the assembly.

“If the party gives me the responsibility I will do it, otherwise I will mind my own business,” Renuka said. Her plan for the state unit: “Identify the committed workers and build it up step by step. And we need conflict resolution and quick response system urgently. If you give them confidence… workers will give their life for the party.”
