Vivek tried to ensure TRS defeat in Assembly polls, says MLA

TRS legislator Balka Suman launched a scathing attack against former MP G. Vivekanand for his allegations against Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao and betraying the TRS party for his selfish gains.

At an election meeting in Ramagundam on Saturday, Mr. Suman alleged that Mr. Vivekanand had tried for the defeat of the TRS candidates in the Assembly segments of Peddapalli parliament constituency by forging a secret understanding with the Congress party. He supported the TRS party stand for denying the party ticket to Vivekanand from Peddapalli constituency for his anti-party activities.

Charging that former MP Vivek was not a Dalit and was “danikudu” (millionaire), he asked what Mr. Vivek had done for the uplift of the Dalits in the State or his parliament constituency. He asked why Mr. Vivek had not opened an industry in his Peddapalli parliament constituency to provide employment to the locals when he had opened several industries throughout the country.

He reminded that the Chief Minister had given due respect to his father and senior parliamentarian G. Venkat Swamy by installing his statue on Tank bund in Hyderabad. He said that they would strive hard and ensure the victory of TRS contestant B. Venkatesh Nethakani from Peddapalli constituency with thumping majority. Minister for Social welfare Koppula Eshwar, MLC Naradasu Laxman Rao and others were also present.
