Despite a heavy schedule of Indian Premier League- 2019 matches all over India, Indore has been deprived. Even though Holkar Stadium is known to be the second home for Kings XI Punjab, the stadium will remain quiet this season. Free Press spoke to a cross-section of Indoreans to know their views. Excerpts:

Hrishi Sharma, Student
Indoreans are very well known for their craze regarding IPL. It is a sad that no IPL match has been allotted to Indore this year. The cheer decibel has always hit the roof during every match.

Rajat Sanghvi, Architect
We always watch matches on television. But the experience of viewing and supporting an IPL team at the stadium is completely different. Indoreans want to show their love for cricket but are incapable this year.

Shaurya Malhotra, Student
It is sad for cricket fans that even though Holkar stadium is well-equipped and always ready for International matches, not even a single match has been scheduled here. There must have been some major issues, but next time authorities at Holkar Stadium should also try to come at common grounds for arranging a match in the city.

Naman Dongle, Businessman
IPL fever is always high in the city. Even cricketers like AB de Villiers have appreciated OUR crowd. In between such excitements and craze for cricket, the city has not been given a single IPL match… this doesn’t seem right. We must hope that during next IPL season, Indore is very much in the picture.
