The people of Kano State will on Saturday return to their polling units to conclude the governorship election in the state.

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, had while announcing results from other states, declared the governorship poll in Kano and other 5 other states inconclusive.

The supplementary election would hold across 28 affected local government areas, LGAs and 207 polling units.

The total of 128,324 registered voters are expected to cast their votes in the election scheduled for Saturday.

However, results collated so far show that the PDP has a total of 1,014,353 votes from 43 local governments while the APC is trailing with 987,819 votes.

The supplementary election would say a lot about the political clout of a former governor of the state, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, and incumbent governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, and their relevance in the state for at least, the next four years.
