MOTIHARI: A married young woman of Bakhari under the Patahi police station area has accused the police bodyguard of BJP’s Chiraiya MLA Lalbabu Prasad of entering her house and trying to rape her Thursday night. She has lodged a complaint with Patahi police station against bodyguard Bhogendra Ram. The woman claimed the rape attempt was foiled only after her family members intervened.
Patahi SHO Vikash Tiwari told this newspaper that a case would be lodged only after investigation against the bodyguard.
Bhogendra has also lodged a complaint against three persons, including the woman’s husband, for allegedly attacking the MLA’s house. The bodyguard alleged that they tried to enter into the MLA’s house and verbally abusing him. Police lodged an FIR in this case.
Pakaridayal SDPO Dinesh Kumar Pandey said the bodyguard was allegedly drunk and had initially fled the MLA’s residence when the Patahi police tried to take him for medical examination. “We are investigating the case and proper action will be taken against the bodyguard,” the SDPO said.
