TIRUVANNAMALAI: DMK party president M K Stalin addressed a public meeting as part of election campaign supporting his party Lok Sabha candidate C N Annadurai on Saturday evening.
Addressing the gathering, Stalin said, “ It is for sure that the DMK party is going to taste victory in all the 18 assembly constituencies in the by-election that is going to take place on April 18."
"My first duty after coming into power is to imprison all the accused behind former chief minister J Jayalalithaa’s mysterious death” Stalin said.
Stalin said Agri Krishnamoorthy, who was removed from the state cabinet by Jayalalithaa herself for his involvement in the suicide case of a Tirunelveli agricultural officer, has been granted a ticket by the AIADMK party to contest from Tiruvannamalai constituency in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
According to Stalin, declaring him as a candidate was a big insult to the entire country. "We have to ensure that he doesn’t get even a single vote," he said.
In a scathing attack on AIADMK co-coordinator Edapaddi K Palaniswami's recent comment that DMK was a violence party in the state, Stalin challenged state law minister and AIADMK MLA C Ve Shanmugam to announce that PMK party with whom they had formed an alliance was a non-violence party.
Stalin noted that Pollachi sex abuse case was the greatest example of how the women were treated in the AIADMK regime. More than 200 women were sexually abused for the past seven years with the support of ruling party members and police department, he accused.
