3 foreigners held for overstaying

CALANGUTE/COLVA: Two African nationals and one Ukranian were arrested for overstaying in the state without having valid documents.
While patrolling, a special team of the Calangute police on Friday detained two African women, Suzanne Namawiffe, 23, an Ugandan national, and Melissa John, 27, from Tanzania without travel documents. Two other women from Uganda and Tanzania were arrested a few days ago.
Calangute PI Nolasco Raposo said the drive against foreign women overstaying without valid passport and visa would continue.
On Saturday, Konkan Railway police arrested an Ukraine national for residing in the state without a valid visa. Police inspector Sailesh Narvekar said they spotted Sindieiev Oleksandr sleeping on railway platform no. 4 at around 1.30pm.
On checking his documents, they noticed that his visa had expired on January 1, 2019. Oleksandr had entered India on October 14, 2018 and had come to Goa on November 14.
