A day before the class 10 English board examination, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) issued an advisory on Friday asking students and parents to not pay heed to videos claiming to reveal the English question paper, among others.

“CBSE has located more uploads falsely claiming to have access to the class 10 and 12 original question papers of subjects yet to be conducted,” CBSE said in its advisory.

The board listed several links that claimed to have “leaked” question papers of the class 10 English and social sciences examinations to be held on March 23 and 29 respectively, and the class 12 economics examination scheduled to take place on March 27.

Two complaints have been filed by the board with the Delhi Police after it came across various videos falsely claiming access to question papers for the examinations. “FIRs have already been lodged with the Delhi Police against persons circulating fake news regarding the paper leak and availability of question papers prior to the examinations,” the board said. Cyber cell officials said they are conducting an inquiry into the complaints.

Last year, the CBSE had to retake the Class 12 economics examination after the question paper was leaked and circulated on WhatsApp.
