Congress has no future in Telangana, says Harish Rao

Former Minister and Siddipet MLA T. Harish Rao called upon party workers to ensure that TRS candidate Kotha Prabhakar Reddy gets a huge majority in the Lok Sabha elections.

At a meeting with party workers presided over by former MLA Ch. Prabhakar and attended by Mr. Prabhakar Reddy here on Saturday, Mr. Harish Rao said a medical college in Sangareddy, a promise made by Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao, would become a reality if Mr. Prabhakar Reddy was elected as the Lok Sabha member with a huge majority.

“It’s clear that Congress has no future in the State, while BJP, despite being in power at the Centre, has not done anything for the party. It has given us only ₹24,000 crore under devolution of funds, while we have paid ₹60,000 crore as taxes. Also, national status for Kaleswaram project has not been accorded even after repeated appeals,” he said, adding that the Centre did not release funds for either Mission Kakatiya or Mission Bhagiratha programmes. Mr. Harish Rao said the TRS should be in a position to decide who should form the government at the Centre.

He also said he would participate in election campaign in all mandals to ensure Mr. Prabhakar Reddy’s victory in the Lok Sabha elections.
