Grand Cherokee Trackhawk Vs. Suzuki Hayabusa Ends In Humiliation – But For Whom?

The Suzuki Hayabusa is one of the fastest superbikes money can buy. It has the reputation of obliterating supercars with considerable ease and, over the years, has built up a very solid name for itself.

This example seems to be from the first generation, which means that its 1.3-liter inline-four produces 173 hp, thus giving it some very dizzying acceleration and top speed. It also has some stickers that may or may not suggest different aftermarket mods, so surely a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk stands no chance against it, right?

As it turns out, the super SUV not only stood a chance, but ended up beating the Hayabusa. Normally, we wouldn’t have spoiled the result, but it’s not every day that we see what seems to be a superbike being put in its corner by a car – and an SUV at that. We don’t know if the Trackhawk sports any modifications, but if it doesn’t, then there’s something very wrong with this Hayabusa, or maybe its rider.

The 707 horsepower Jeep of course is no slouch, as in stock form it needs 11.6 seconds to run the quarter-mile. The 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) acceleration takes 3.5 seconds and top speed is 204 mph (328 km/h). This impressive performance allows it to do battle with some expensive blue-blooded machines, such as the McLaren 570S, which it managed to beat into submission – and you can watch that video here, after you’re finished viewing the one right below.
