Motorists are set to face disruption on the roads of North Wales and other parts of the UK tonight as the Brexit go slow protests take place.
In North Wales, a demonstration is taking place on the A494 where it meets the A55 in Flintshire this evening.
Campaigners, who are protesting about the way Brexit has been handled, will meet at 6.30pm in Deeside. They will set off at around 7pm.
The go-slow protest is part of a series of action taking place across the country over the next few days.
More demonstrations are taking place on other roads today and Saturday.
We'll have updates on the protest and how it's affecting traffic as well as the latest on the roads across the UK.

Go Slow Round-up
It wasn’t the best advert. The Brexit Go Slow that was delayed, stopped and didn’t go at all was a bit like the Brexit negotiations themselves

Latest from Inrix:
Slow traffic due to Go Slow Protest on A494 in both directions from Woodbank Junction (Shotwick / Birkenhead Turn Off) to A55 North Wales Expressway J33B (Ewloe).A go slow protest for Brexit is taking place. Traffic is though to be heading down the A494 to Ewole Green and back up towards Queensferry. This circuit is expected to be carried out at least four times.
East Midlands
Apparently one protester was a bit underwhelmed by the East Midlands demonstration, according to our sister publication Nottingham Live.
They said that there was a ‘lack of patriotism’ and ‘no flags’.
The added it ‘was a bit of let down. Bit like Brexit’
Round-up
So far the picture nationally looks like this:
- On the A30 protesters were stopped by police and two drivers arrested
- On the M5 from Exeter it appears no one turned up according to reports
- On the M5/M4 past Bristol it was barely noticed
- On the M1 in the East Midlands an accident has caused fve miles of tailbacks - the latest is that the crash has been cleared and there are nos signs of any delays casued by protest
- On the M62 we have had no reports
- On the M6 it appears there was some disruption as protesters blocked all three lanes - against police advice
- On the A494 in Flintshire around 20 vehicles or more have turned up - there is slow traffic south and westbound but that is not helpeds by a closure to A550 Gladstone way due to accident

M6 Protest
Just watched a video from a driver on the M6 held up by the protest. I can’t share with you because of the language but it appeared they were blocking all three lanes against police advice and cars were undertaking on hard shoulder to get past. Looked a little bit irresponsible all round

Bristol Go Slow Over
Reporter Conor Gogarty at another sister title, Bristol Live, had this to say:
The protest appears to be over before it began in Bristol, with no disruption hitting the area at all.
Our sister website Cornwall Live has given the following insight into how the demonstration kicked off on the south coast.
About 10 vehicles set off along the A30. The vehicles, three of which were decorated in banners and flags, left the service station at Plusha at about 3.30pm.
No lorries took part.
Organisers initially said 25 people had signed up to take part in the rolling road block after the prime minister asked the European Union to delay the UK’s exit date beyond March 29.
Speaking at the start of the protest, organiser Ian Grindod said: “It was never going to be a massive event anyway.”
Things got worse for the demonstrators further along the A30, when police stopped nine vehicles and reported two motorists for inconsiderate driving.
No Show
According to our sister title Somerset Live no one showed up for the Exeter Brexit Go Slow on the M5

Meanwhile in Nottinghamshire:
Starting Now
The A494 protest is due to start now at Deeside Industrial estate. As is the M1 protest near Nottingham. It looks like that one might be slower than anticipated as a crash has shut the M1 in both directions between J30 and J31
