Mehul Choksi now moved a new application at PMLA court in Mumbai stating that he has a long history of ailments like heart disease to a clot in the brain. A designated Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) authority has held that 41 properties worth about Rs 1,210 crore, attached by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) in the name of absconding diamond jeweller Mehul Choksi and his associated firms. PMLA court also ordered that Mehul Choksi’s properties are money laundering assets and that their attachment should continue.
