Former Chief Minister and founder of AINRC N. Rangasamy on Thursday asserted that the AINRC-AIADMK-BJP-PMK alliance is a strong combine which would romp home in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections to the lone seat in the Union Territory.
Speaking at an election coordination committee meeting here, he said that in the last Assembly elections in 2016 there was a communication gap between the party and another alliance partner which led to the party losing an opportunity to form the government.
“But now, the present election would be a trendsetter and also lay the foundation for a big change in the Union Territory,” he said.
Mr. Rangasamy added that the ruling Congress in Puducherry had proved its incapability and a chaotic administration was provided to the people. “Puducherry is now all set to have a powerful dispensation after the Lok Sabha elections”.
He said that a large number of people in Puducherry were now disenchanted with the present dispensation. The rank and file of AINRC and alliance partners should work hard to bring about a change in the political firmament in the UT.
He pointed out there was a criticism by the rival camp against him that he was running the party by sitting in a private shop on Jawaharlal Nehru Street. There is no truth in it. I have been able to get the feedback on how the Congress had failed the people of Puducherry, he said.
“It is not the candidate of AINRC who is important but our aim is to bring about a change in Puducherry. The candidate of the AINRC will be announced soon,” he said.
