No laughing matter: Cheeky footy fan who dropped his pants and 'mooned' Eddie McGuire on national television could be JAILED over the 'sexual offence'
- The Richmond supporter 'mooned' on live television after Thursday's game
- Fox Footy hosts were talking about Alex Rance's injury during the opening game
- The fan might be jailed as changes in 2016 made 'mooning' an illegal offence
A rowdy football fan who 'mooned' commentators on national television could be jailed for up to six months.
The Richmond Tigers supporter suspiciously walks behind Eddie McGuire and Garry Lyon after his team defeated the Carlton Blues at the MCG on Thursday night.
The young fan then casually turns and drops his pants as the Fox Footy hosts broadcasted from their grandstand studio.
But the cheeky stunt could come back and bite him on the backside.
Changes to the Crimes Amendment (Sexual Offences) Act 2016 has meant that pulling down your pants is illegal.
The man's face can be identified on television and he could be jailed for committing the 'sexual offence.'
The offender faces a maximum two months behind bars for a first offence but if he is a repeat mooner he could be jailed for up to six months.

The Richmond fan pulled down his pants during a live discussion between Fox Footy hosts
During the Tiger's 33 point win against Carlton on Thursday, premiership player Alex Rance seriously injured his knee.
Fox Footy hosts were discussing the fact that he might need a knee reconstruction surgery and could miss the rest of the year.
Coach Damien Hardwick said: 'The measure of the man — you wouldn't know it by his demeanour, he's such an incredible person, first and foremost.'
'He's obviously a champion of the game, he's one of the best fullbacks I've ever seen,' Hardwick said.
