Zinc futures rise 0.38% on spot demand

futures Friday edged 0.38 per cent higher at Rs 198.15 per kg as speculators created fresh positions, triggered by a firm trend in the domestic spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, for delivery in current month moved up by 75 paise, or 0.38 per cent, at Rs 198.15 per kg, with a business turnover of 5,578 lots.

Marketmen said, widening of bets by participants following improved demand from the spot market mainly influenced prices here.
