A three-year-old girl has died after being struck by a ute outside a service station.
The youngster is believed to have run out in front of the vehicle at the BP service station just off the Bruce Highway in Burpengary, north of Brisbane at around 5pm on Thursday.
Emergency services attended the scene reports a child had been struck by a utility.
Paramedics worked to save the girl for more than an hour however she died at the scene.

Emergency services rushed to the girl, who had been hit in the car park of the BP service station just off the Bruce Highway in Burpengary, north of Brisbane, Queensland, but were unable to save her
The driver of the vehicle is being treated for shock at Caboolture Hospital.
BP have since released a statement about the incident.
'We are deeply saddened by what has occurred this evening and our thoughts are with the family and friends of those involved,' a BP spokesperson said.
The girl's mother remained on the scene while it is alleged the child's father has yet to be notified as he is out of state, the Courier Mail reports.
The entrance to the car park and the BP on the Bruce Highway has been closed while the Forensic Crash Unit investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Investigators are currently at the scene and will work through the night to establish what happened
