SPORTS BRIEF: Somerset Senior Girls Softball signups in early April

Somerset Senior Girls Softball will be holding signups for the recreational league on Tuesday, April 2, and Wednesday, April 3, from 6:30-8 p.m. at Ashton Field, 90 Olympia Road in Somerset.

Girls 13 years old as of Jan. 1 are eligible and the cost to play is $100, with $40 in raffle tickets to help offset that cost.

Players are eligible to play until they are 18 years old as of Jan. 1.

Girls from surrounding communities are always welcome to play, and league games are played from June through early August at Ashton Field starting at 6 p.m.
