Christchurch shooting aftermath: New Zealand bans sale of assault, semi-automatic rifles

Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern announced that New Zealand is immediately banning sales of military style semi-automatic rifles and high-capacity magazines.The ban includes guns like those used in the recent attacks on two mosques in Christchurch. Some 70,000 people had signed petitions calling for the ban and increased controls on firearms.Fifty worshippers were killed in the attack, New Zealand's deadliest shooting in modern history.The police commissioner announced Thursday that all victims have been identified.
