Political science paper analysis : It was lengthy with mix of easy & tough questions

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) conducted political science examination for class XII students on Tuesday. Students were anxious before the examination as political science is a relatively new and challenging subject for them. Sharing their take on exam after attempting it, students appeared confident and happy.

Student Mohit Sharma said he was very nervous before the exam. “But when I got paper, I felt better. The paper was clear but lengthy.” He added that paper was a blend of easy and tricky questions. “There were some questions, which required thinking,” Mohit said.

Another student Vidhi Daryani said, “I wish we had more time, because I would have probably written more and maybe better answers. It was an easy paper because most questions were not too tricky.” She hopes to score well.  Chatting with friends, student Ishita Malpani said, “It was a nice and balanced paper, where some questions really made me think a lot, while others ensured good score.”

“It was a fun examination as opposed to scary, which I was expecting,” Tanvay Bhargav said after the exam. He was nervous before the exam. “I am glad that examination is over because though I enjoy studying political science, its exam is daunting,” student Abhishek Guraiya said. He talked about questions that were easy and fun to answer. “I like tricky questions because they challenge me to think and come up with better answers,” Abhishek said.

Expert view
Paper was lengthy but balanced. Short answer questions were easy. Some questions required thinking and tested students well. Overall, paper was satisfactory as students did not take it lightly and neither felt disheartened. Syllabus was well covered. All together, it was direct easy but bit lengthy.
