Osmania University to take legal action against AISF

HYDERABAD: Osmania University (OU) on Friday decided to take legal action against a student union for putting up posters against the vice-chancellor.
The varsity officials, vide a release, announced that they are planning to take legal opinion and accordingly legal action will be initiated against a particular student organisation which has put up posters against the VC which are defamatory in nature.
Top officials of OU, senior professors rallied round the Vice Chancellor and denounced the poster which has surfaced on the campus against him.
At an emergency meeting, they took a unanimous resolution condemning the poster released by All India Students Federation (AISF) organisation of University. They further said that the VC has been proactive in initiating several academic and administrative measures after the University witnessed a leadership vacuum.
"In certain cases, the University must take due diligence before taking any decision and there could be a delay in administrative action. There cannot be instant solutions to certain vexatious issues," read the circular.
