Nirav Modi arrested in London

Denied Bail by London Court, to Remain in Police Custody Till March 29

Fugitive jeweller Nirav Modi was arrested by Scotland Yard in London. He is the main accused in the 13,500 crore rupees Punjab National Bank scam case.

The arrest came days after a London court issued an arrest warrant against him in response to a request by the Enforcement Directorate for his extradition in a money laundering case.

The Metropolitan Police said, Nirav Modi was arrested on behalf of the Indian Authorities yesterday in Holborn. They said, he will be produced in the Westminster court today.
