Organisational adjustment: An even stronger Nykredit
Nykredit is reorganising to obtain an even stronger and more focused business.
In this connection, Tonny Thierry Andersen (54) will join the Group Executive Board, while Kim Duus (62) and Søren Holm (62) will leave the Board and their positions at Nykredit – both of their own accord.
The Group Executive Board will subsequently include:
Tonny Thierry Andersen will be in charge of Banking, a new division that will be responsible for all of Nykredit's business banking and personal banking customers. Anders Jensen (54) will assume responsibility for the CRO division, while David Hellemann (48) will continue as Head of the CFO/COO division.
As part of the organisational adjustment, a new Wealth Management division will be established. This division will comprise all of Nykredit's expertise within investment and wealth advisory services and asset management etc. Peter Kjærgaard, currently Co-Head of Nykredit Asset Management, will be Head of Wealth Management reporting to Michael Rasmussen, Group Chief Executive, who will have executive responsibility for Wealth Management.
Tonny Thierry Andersen will join Nykredit on 1 June, but the organisational adjustment will take effect as from 21 March. Kim Duus and Søren Holm will resign from the Group Executive Board on 21 March and will finally leave Nykredit at end-June. Michael Rasmussen will be in charge of Banking until Tonny Thierry Andersen takes up his position.
Chairman of the Board of Directors Steffen Kragh says:
”My Board colleagues and I are pleased with Nykredit's progress, leading to customer growth, competitiveness and a strengthened capital position. With Michael Rasmussen at the helm, Nykredit's Executive Board and staff have built a stronger and more customer-centric business. The Board of Directors would like to thank Kim Duus and Søren Holm for their strong contribution on the Executive Board over a number of years, and at the same time we are pleased to welcome Tonny Thierry Andersen as new Group Managing Director in charge of Banking.”
Michael Rasmussen says:
"Nykredit has undergone a significant transformation over the past five years. We have gained a firm grip on the fundamentals of Nykredit's business: earnings, costs and capital position. And we are recording customer growth and increasing customer satisfaction. With Anders, David and Tonny, we will have a resourceful team to head up the next phase of Nykredit's journey. We will further boost our customer focus and business development to ensure even better customer experiences. As a Nykredit customer you will, going forward, get an even stronger sense of the positive effects of Nykredit's ownership by an association.”
”Nykredit owes Kim Duus and Søren Holm a great debt of thanks for their efforts over several decades. Personally, I have watched for the past five years the way they have assumed responsibility for the transformation that Nykredit has undergone. They deserve much credit for Nykredit's position today as a strong and sound business well poised for the future.”
Tonny Thierry Andersen says:
”I very much look forward to becoming part of the team and doing my best to take the customer experience to the next level together with Nykredit's leaders and staff. I see Nykredit as unique in Denmark: a financial provider owned by an association of customers. This involves major responsibilities and unique opportunities alike which I could simply not refuse.”
