The national football side is set to play their first game in North Wales for over a decade tonight as they take on Trinidad and Tobago.

Wales will be hoping for a good result from tonight's friendly at Wrexham 's the Racecourse ground.

A win would set the side up nicely for the game against Slovakia in Cardiff on Sunday in what will be the first match of their World Cup 2020 campaign.

Manager Ryan Giggs unveiled the squad set to play in the match at a press conference in Llandudno last week.

We will be bringing live coverage as well as updates and reaction from the match from 7pm tonight .

Good challenge

There was no way Neil Taylor was going to pull out of that challenge, he needed to as Cordell Cato threatened to race clear.

However the former Wrexham and Swansea man went sliding into the dug out and nearly took out Lawrence. Big Dennis with a massive smile on his face though.

Another chance

Good work on the left between Neil Taylor and Vaulks sees George Thomas find space, his shot deflects wide for a corner.

Vaulks then sees a follow up effort go behind for another corner seconds later.

Wales really pressing here....

Even closer!!!

Wales have started the second half much the brighter, but should be behind as Aubrey David sees a shot cleared off the line by Chris Gunter.

Levi Garcia had seconds earlier waltzed through, but was forced wide by Adam Davies when he should have got a shot away at the very least.

That was moving!

Tyler Roberts, who has impressed in spells, lets fly with a rasping drive after creating space for himself, Phillip happy to see the effort over the top.

Great work

Excellent work from Ben Woodburn sees George Thomas free, his shot is palmed away for a corner by Phillip.

I said he was here!!!!

And proof that I was telling the truth when I said Gareth Bale was here.

A few first half shots

A slightly misleading headline perhaps, but here are some of the best images of the first half between Wales and Trinidad & Tobago.

Back underway

Back underway at the Racecourse for the second half of Wales versus Trinidad & Tobago.

Both sides have made a change at the interval, Wales sending on Adam Davies in goal in place of former Wrexham keeper Danny Ward, while the visitors sent on Cordell Cato in place of Willis Plaza.

Looking ahead

Wales play a massive encounter on Sunday as they entertain Slovakia in their opening Euro 2020 Group E qualifier.

Giggs’ men have been drawn in the same group as beaten World Cup finalists Croatia, Hungary, Azerbaijan and Slovakia.

The last time Wales face Slovakia was in their opening Euro 2016 group match when goals from Gareth Bale and Hal Robson Kanu either side of an equaliser from Ondrej Duda saw Chris Coleman’s men open their campaign with a win.

Wales of course went on to top Group B ahead of England - who were knocked out in the next round by Iceland - Slovakia and Russia. Wales reached the semi-finals after beating Northern Ireland and Belgium before going out to eventual champions Portugal in the last four.

Back out

The Wales players are back out for the second half of their friendly with Trinidad & Tobago.

'B' team

There seems to be a bit of disillusionment among some Wales fans on social media about the line-up, particularly the absence of Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey, Joe Allen, et all.

Big picture is that this is a friendly, there is a Euro 2020 qualifier waiting on the horizon on Sunday.

Yes it would be nice to see the big guns in action, but you’d have to guess that Ryan Giggs is keen to keep them back for Sunday’s visit of Slovakia.

Imagine if one of them were to get an injury playing tonight and missed Sunday’s match, which is far more important than a friendly.

Big Dennis

Its a little strange to see Dennis Lawrence in the visiting dug out... of course if things had worked out a little differently he’d be in the home one every other Saturday.

The former Wrexham centre-half was heavily linked with the Dragons job in December following the departure of Sam Ricketts to Shrewsbury Town.

And Big Dennis gave his thoughts on the link ahead of the match.

The Red Wall

The match might be a little flat so far, but the anthem beforehand was nothing short of spine tingling.

The Red Wall at its absolute best...

Half time

0-0 at the interval between Wales and Trinidad & Tobago.

It has been a little flat to be honest, Wales enjoying the majority of possession, but failing to really test Marvin Phillip, Danny Ward at the other end a virtual spectator so far.

Bad challenge

A rash challenge by Kevan George on Ben Woodburn sees the Liverpool man hobble off and the Trinidad midfielder shown a yellow card

Close again!!!!

And from the corner, Wales work it short and George Thomas finds space to let fly with an effort that is just past the post.

Another corner

Good work by Gunter to win a corner for Wales, albeit a stricter referee might have given a foul against.

Diolch

Wow fair play...

Another on target

Phillip is definitely the busier of the two goalkeepers, as he needs to get down to make a smart stop to keep out a powerful drive from Tyler Roberts.

On the front foot

Wales are firmly in the driving seat in this, despite the scoreline still being 0-0.

Close-ish

And from the free kick Ben Woodburn elected to try and cheeky effort and go for the near post, his shot covered by Phillips and hitting the sidenetting.

Nice try though...

Dangerous

Wales awarded a free kick in a dangerous position after Chris Gunter is felled on the edge of the box, albeit a little wide out.

Long range

Vaulks is really making an impression, his long range effort cannons away for a corner, timid shouts of a penalty as it hits Daneil Cyrus on the way though.

Vaulks the plays a great ball for Lee Evans, who squares to George Thomas, is effort just over the top.

Busy showing

To be fair both sides are having a go here, but it does need to be added that some of the passing - from both sides - is a little wayward.

On target at least

Wales are really pressing here, and after a long Vaulks throw-in is only half cleared Ben Woodburn manages to get his head on a Vaulks cross, but it is again too easy for Phillip.

Good effort

Ryan Hedges is making a really good impression and gets an effort on target from a tight angle from Chris Gunter’s dug out cross.

It was a little easy for Marvin Phillips mind, but still a good warning.

Can't go to ground like that

Will Vaulks is making is international debut and will learn very quickly you can’t dive in at the ball.

He goes off his feet, wins the ball, but goes straight through his opposite number with his trailing leg and is pulled up for it by Northern Ireland referee Tim Marshall.

Pressure from T&T

A decent move from Trinidad and Tobago ends with Khaleem Hyland having a shot that’s easily saved by Danny Ward.

Early stages

The visitors are enjoying some possession without looking particularly threatening.

First attempt on goal

Tyler Roberts gets a header in but it’s an easy save for the Trinidad and Tobago keeper.
