A patch of land outside the former home of missing mother Roxlyn Bowie will undergo a forensic excavation as police continue their murder investigation.
Ms Bowie, aged 31 at the time, was last seen at her Walgett home, in northern New South Wales, about 6pm on Saturday June 5, 1982.
A coronial Inquest in September 2014 found the mother-of-two had died but her body was never found and her cause of death was undetermined.

A patch of land outside the former home of missing mother Roxlyn Bowie will undergo a forensic excavation as police continue their murder investigation

A Coronial Inquest in September 2014 found the mother-of-two had died but her body was never found and the cause of death was undetermined
Investigators and forensic experts conducted examinations at the Walgett home on Tuesday.
Police said several items were seized from the home to undergo further testing.
A parcel of land will be excavated and forensically examined on Thursday as part of the investigation.
The renewed investigation into Ms Bowie's disappearance and suspected death was launched by the Robbery and Serious Crime Squad under Strike Force Maluka.
There is a $1million NSW Government reward on offer for information which leads to the location of Ms Bowie's body.
The offer also extends to information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person or persons responsible for the murder.

Ms Bowie's husband, John, said the mother had left the family after the couple got into an argument about him going to the pub.
She was seen hanging her clothes on the line in the afternoon and before leaving the house at about 6pm.
Mrs Bowie had left a note behind addressed to her husband, which said she was 'leaving him with the kids for good' and not to find her because she 'would never come back'.
She was reported missing by her husband the next day and Mr Bowie has denied any involvement in her disappearance.
