LokSabha 2019: About 8.75L cr voters registered in the State

MUMBAI: The State registered 8.75 crore voters, who will cast their votes in the Lok Sabha elections in four stages  scheduled on April 11, 18, 23 and 29. Thane district registered the highest number of voters, while Ratnagiri and Sindhudurg registered the highest number of female voters. Pune registered more than 20 lakh voters. 

Ratnagiri and Sindhidurg constituencies have 14.4 lakh voters of which 7,35,597 are female. 

In Thane constituency more than 23 lakh voters have been registered, which is the highest in numbers out of which about 12,60,000 are male voters.  There are 4.37 crore male voters and 4.16 crore female voters registered across the State. 

Nagpur, Shirur, Pune and Baramati have more than 20 lakh voters.

In Maval constituency, there are more than 22 lakh voters registered, while Shirur and Nagpur have more than 21 lakh voters. Pune and Baramati have more than 20 lakh voters. 

RESERVATION OF CONSTITUENCIES
Nandurbar, Gadchiroli, Chimur, Dindori, Palghar are reserved for Scheduled Tribes, while Ramtek, Amravati, Shirdi, Latur and Solapur are reserved for Scheduled Castes.

NO. OF VOTERS IN SOME CONSTITUENCIES
According to an election officer, there are 8,73,30,484 voters in Maharashtra comprising 4,57,02,579 men, 4,16,25,819 women and 2,086 transgender voters.
