Model Samantha Harris becomes the face of North Queensland tourism

Aboriginal Australian model Samantha Harris has been selected to head the #FeelGrounded campaign for Tourism North Queensland.

The main concept for North Queensland is to endorse the region as a tropical tourist destination for stressed Sydney residents and other cities keen to get a breather away to a domestic tropical paradise to be away from all, and to be grounded.

North Queensland will have striking photos with Samantha Harris enjoying travel spots like:

• Mossman Gorge, in the southeast of the Daintree National Park, with luminous freshwater swimming holes, walking trails and Indigenous story-telling tours.
• Fitzroy Island, a preferred snorkeling spot with coral beaches and rainforest near Cairns.
• Dunk Island, a perfect tropical island near Mission Beach.
• The Atherton Tablelands, with picturesque country towns and lovely drives.
• Vlasoff Cay, a private sand cay in the Great Barrier Reef, accessed by scenic flights from Cairns
• Palm Cove, a stylish and intimate beach resort.
• Daintree Rainforest, a UNESCO World Heritage-listed ecosystem where the rainforest meets the reef.
