Maheshwaram Congress MLA P. Sabita Indra Reddy’s son P. Karthik Reddy officially joined the TRS in the presence of its working president K.T. Rama Rao at a public meeting at Shamshabad.
Ms. Sabita and Mr. Karthik Reddy, who met the Chief Minister, K. Chandrasekhar Rao recently, openly expressed their desire to join the ruling party. Ms. Sabita, however, is officially yet to join TRS.
Welcoming him to the party, Mr. Rama Rao said TRS would be further strengthened and would win the Chevella Lok Sabha seat comfortably. He assured the gathering that the government would take into account the resolutions passed by villagers in GO 111. He said real estate prices in the erstwhile Ranga Reddy would further go up with IT companies coming up at Budwel and Kismatpur. Mr. Rao also promised that the metro rail would be extended till Shamshabad and the MMTS till Shankarpally.
Mr. Karthik Reddy said his father late Indra Reddy strengthened the Congress party in the district, but did not get anything in return. The new journey with TRS would be in the interests of the district, he claimed.
