VIJAYAWADA: After five days of suspense actor turned politician and Janasena chief Pawan Kalyan on Tuesday announced that he will contest from Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka assembly constituencies. Pawan Kalyan said that the decision was taken on request of party general body.
Earlier on Tuesday morning Pawan tweeted that “General body is in their final discussion from which two constituencies, I should be contesting. Hopefully, they will let me know in an hour or later.”
Latter Janasena in a press release said that the general body conducted an internal survey to finalise the seat for Pawan Kalyan. “Our survey suggested Pawan to contest from Anantapur, Tirupati, Rajanagaram, Pithapuram, Bhimavaram, Pendhurti, Gajuwaka and Ichapuram. General body selected Bhimavaram and Gajuwaka constituencies and Pawan accepted that,” said party media secretary P Hariprasad.
