Two Maharashtra farmers die in bid to harvest sewage water
Arpita Sharad | TNN | Mar 19, 2019, 05:46 ISTAURANGABAD: Two farmers who entered a drainage chamber in the outskirts of Aurangabad on Monday afternoon died, apparently from suffocation. The fire brigade rescued four other farmers who also went in, while one is still missing.
The farmers had entered the chamber to check an electric motor — installed to draw water for crops, owing to drought conditions — after it developed a snag. After the first one who went in did not emerge, the six others went in. All of them suffered suffocation due to the gas inside.
