Rajya Sabha MP Kanimozhi arrived here after being declared as candidate by the DMK on Tuesday evening. Addressing reporters, she said that she would file her nominations for the Lok Sabha election on March 22, and would start her campaigning from Tiruchendur. Bypolls for the three constituencies should be held along with the Lok Sabha elections, she added. After garlanding statues of a host of leaders, she inaugurated the party election office (Karyalayam) at Polepettai. MLAs P. Geetha Jeevan, Anitha R. Radhakrishnan, TNCC vice-president A. P. C. V Shanmugam and Congress district secretary Muralitharan were present.
