The project taken up by on concept-to-commissioning basis envisages among others construction of the new integrated terminal building conforming to GRIHA 4 Star Rating, apron link and taxiway, new control tower, parking bays for A321/B737-800/Q400 type of aircraft and parking and internal roads, the release said.

The project was to be completed in 54 months.

The AAI plans to develop the airport as an Intra-Regional Hub with facility for early morning and late night operations.
