Ajit Singh shifts to Muzaffarnagar, fields son from Baghpat

The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) on Tuesday declared three candidates for the Lok Sabha elections. While party chief Chaudhary Ajit Singh will contest from Muzaffarnagar, his son Jayant Chaudhary will be the candidate for Baghpat.
Kunwar Narendra Singh has been given the Mathura seat, where he would most likely take on sitting star MP Hema Malini. The RLD formally joined the SP-BSP ‘Mahagathbandhan’ (grand alliance) on March 5 and is contesting three seats. While SP is contesting on 37 seats, the BSP has got 38.
