DMK and AIADMK alliances begin Lok Sabha election campaign in Tirupur
Rajasekaran RK | TNN | Mar 19, 2019, 13:28 ISTTIRUPUR: The alliances led by the DMK and the AIADMK have kick-started their campaigns for the Lok Sabha polls in Tirupur constituency.
While CPI candidate K Subbarayan began the campaign on Sunday, AIADMK candidate MSM Anandan took the mantle on Monday.
Both the candidates have held meetings with alliance partners in Tirupur north DMK office and AIADMK Tirupur urban office respectively. While the former MP Subbrayan charged that the BJP-led central government had left MSME sector, which is prominent in Tirupur, in the dark, the former Tamil Nadu minister Anandan said the central government had brought development in Tirupur knitwear cluster.
