Just a few hours ago, Samsung introduced the Galaxy A20 smartphone in Russia, after the brand unveiled the Galaxy A10, A30, and A50 last month. Now, the South Korean tech giant’s European arm has also announced yet another Galaxy A series smartphone called the Galaxy A40. The phone has arrived as the second handset from the brand to flaunt a 25-megapixel camera sensor on the front for selfies and video calling.

Dutch e-tailer Belsimpel has started taking pre-orders for the Samsung Galaxy A40 for €249 (~Rs 19,500). The phone is available in four colour variants – Black, Blue, Coral, and White. The handset will be officially unveiled at an event on April 10th.

The Samsung Galaxy A40 has arrived as a mid-range offering. The smartphone sports a 5.9-inch Super AMOLED full-HD+ Infinity-U display and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The device is powered by an in-house octa-core Exynos 7885 processor, aided by Mali G71 graphics. The handset has 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage. Software-wise, the phone boots Android 9.0 Pie out of the box, with the newly introduced One UI on top.
In the camera department, the Samsung Galaxy A40 has a 16-megapixel primary snapper, accompanied by a 5-megapixel secondary shooter. The handset is capable of recording 4K videos. As we’ve mentioned above, on the front of the phone, there’s a 25-megapixel selfie sensor. In terms of connectivity, you get 4G LTE, dual-SIM slots, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and GPS. A 3,100mAh battery with fast charging support completes the list of the specifications of the device.
