A woman from Pakistan Tahira Maqbool, who got married to an Indian is set to cast vote for 17th Lok Sabha for the first time. She has urged Indians to exercise their voting rights. Tahira got married to Maqbool Ahmed in December, 2003. The couple had a long struggle to receive the Indian citizenship for Tahira. She received Indian citizenship on April 12, 2016. Her husband Maqbool said, “it would be a matter of happiness that my wife will cast vote along with me. She has never voted before.”
