Thousands of ravers covered in glitter and dressed in short shorts and sports bras poured into Sydney Showground on Saturday night for the Transmission music festival.
Over 17,000 people arrived at Sydney Olympic Park at 5pm for the indoor trance festival, dressed in line with the event's 'awakening' theme and ready for nine hours of dancing and thumping beats.
World-famous trance music acts including Above & Beyond, Simon Patterson and MaRLo headlined the festival, while visual effects team Vision Impossible left revellers stunned with their laser show.

Police said they were generally pleased with the behaviour of people at the festival, kicking out just 37 of the 17,000 people in attendance.
They reported that 11 people had to be taken to hospital during and after the festival, six of them as a result of suspected drug overdose. One person remains in hospital in a critical condition.
Of the nearly 170 people searched, eight criminal infringement notices were issued for possession of drugs, proceeds of crime and other drug related offences.
Daily Mail Australia is not suggesting any of the people pictured were charged by police, kicked out or had any involvement with illegal drugs.
