He's Virgil van Dijk!
He may have gifted Ryan Babel a goal yesterday but surely big Virg is a shoo-in?
Reds duo in Team of the Week
Garth Crooks is at it again! He’s come out with some mad shouts in his BBC Sport Team of the Week in the past, but his latest one is something else.
First up, Sadio Mane is in. No complaints there. Here’s what the former Tottenham striker said of the forward’s performance.

He ran the show in the first half and hit the bar in the second. With Roberto Firmino never quite at the party and Mohamed Salah struggling to hit the back of the net it was left to Sadio Mane to provide the inspiration.
Liverpool got away with this 2-1 away win. It was a spirited performance by the Cottagers and only a mistake by Fulham goalkeeper Sergio Rico let the Reds back into the game. I remember the days when goalkeepers could catch a ball.
Next up though, James Milner. Yes he scored the winner, but he was at fault for Fulham’s equaliser in the first place and was only on the pitch for 15 minutes.
No mention of the midfielder’s error from Garth though. Oh and he’s also played him at centre-back in a back three...

Here’s how he justifies the selection...
Here is another substitute that makes my TOTW. There is no doubt about it, Liverpool are not firing on all cylinders but they can call on certain players in a crisis and James Milner is one of those players.
His introduction into the game minutes before the award of the spot kick was crucial. They were gifted a penalty and the one player unmoved by completing the task was Milner.
It puts them top of the table prior to the international break and now Jurgen Klopp must hold his breath and pray his players return unharmed.
Now I love ‘Milly’ as much as the next man but come on, Garth. What game were you watching?

This was great from the Reds duo yesterday.
Henderson injury update
Jordan Henderson might have missed Liverpool’s trip to Fulham yesterday but he hasn’t been ruled out of international duty just yet.

Jurgen Klopp expects the midfielder to be available for England’s forthcoming Euro 2020 qualifiers against Czech Republic and Montenegro.
Yeah, it’s Hendo and Hendo will go to the national team. I think he will have two or three days at Melwood with his rehab.
But it looks positive, and I think he is in contact with Gareth that when he can train, he goes to the national team. And if he plays, then Gareth will decide.
It was not that serious. And now in three or four days he should be fine.
Robertson withdraws from Scotland squad
Andy Robertson has pulled out of the Scotland squad to face Kazakhstan on Thursday.

But before you start have Alberto Moreno-related heart palpitations, don’t fret. The left-back’s missing the trip after being advised to have a dental operation.
Scotland face San Marino three days later and Andy Robbo’s not been ruled out of that one, so expect him to face Tottenham Hotspur at the end of the month.
