New Delhi, President Ram Nath Kovind said on Monday that India and Guinea must continue to work to see how bilateral trade can be enhanced further. India is among the top trading partners of Guinea.
He was speaking after receiving visiting Guinea Prime Minister Ibrahima Kassory Fofana who called on him at the Rashtrapti Bhavan here.
Observing that the recent high level visits had given an impetus to India-Guinea bilateral ties, Mr Kovind expressed the confidence that Dr Fofana’s visit to India will mark yet another high point.
He noted that India-Guinea bilateral trade in 2017-18 reached almost US$ 900 million, representing an increase of nearly 40 per cent from the previous year.
