Rajkot: Patidar quota leader Hardik Patel, who recently joined Congress, on Monday expressed concern over the country’s judiciary system and said that people were losing faith in it.
He said this during his hour-long interaction with youth from different state on the Facebook live session from Congress office in Rajkot.

Addressing the youth in Hindi he said that he had only two choices if he joined politics— BJP or Congress. “I didn’t choose the party involved in the assassination of Mahatma Gandhi,” Hardik said, remembering Congress’s contribution to freedom struggle.

When asked if BJP was trying to prevent him from contesting Lok Sabha election, Hardik said, “I have full faith in our judiciary. But in the past few years, the environment in our courts, from sessions to Supreme Court, have been vitiated. People are losing the faith in judiciary and I am fighting to protect the freedom of judiciary, protect the Constitution of India.”

One of the question put before the Patidar agitation lead was if he feared the people in power, Hardik said, “Rajiv Gandhi didn’t fear joining politics after assassination of Indira Gandhi. Assasination of Rajiv Gandhi did not stop Sonia Gandhi, Rahul and Priyanka from entering politics to serve the nation. I am here to serve the nation.”

Hardik also raised the question of unemployment while talking about Gujarat model and said in that in last nine vibrant Gujarat Summits the MoUs worth Rs 85 lakh crore were signed, but unemployment remains a big problem in Gujarat.

He appealed the youth to vote for Rahul Gandhi to save the constitution and to end the dictatorship of BJP.
