One CRPF jawan died and four others were injured in an IED blast in an exchange of fire with Naxals in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district on Monday.
Troops of 231 Battalion of CRPF along with the state police were carrying out the road security duty during which a blast hit them, which was followed by firing from Naxals between Kondapara and Kamal posts in which the jawans got injured, said P Sundarraj, DIG, Anti-Naxal Operations.
The injured are being evacuated by the chopper to Raipur. Further details are awaited.
