Two arrested with firearms, three cartridges

Rajkot: Two persons were arrested with two country-made pistols and three cartridges from Rajkot and Junagadh on Monday. In Rajkot, Bharat Dabhi (31), a resident of Devpara locality, was arrested with a country made pistol from Kothariya Road. “Dabhi is a history-sheeter who is involved in eight different cases ranging from theft, physical assault and issuing threats to robbery. He said that he had kept the firearm to flaunt it before his friends,” said V K Gadhvi, inspector with Bhaktinagar police station. In Junagadh, Dadu Gulmohammed Gameti (37), a resident of Bharat Mill, was arrested from Majavadi Darwaja on Bhavnath Road with a country-made pistol and three cartridges. “Gameti is a history-sheeter who was released on bail in a murder case. He said that he had kept the firearm and the cartridges for self protection,”said J M Vala, sub-inspector with Junagadh special operation group.
