Thiruvananthapuram: All-Kerala Photographers’ Association has come out against C-Dit for awarding the photography contract for election squads to a CITU-affiliated organization – Kerala Photographers and Videographers Association. As part of ensuring the model code of conduct the district collector of Thiruvananthapuram has formed election squads, which includes photographers. However the tender for this was bagged by the C-Dit and they have awarded the work to a party-affiliated association which itself is against the code of conduct, alleged Kumar Vibgyor, district president of All-Kerala Photographers’ Association.

The association has now decided to approach the election commission against C-Dit awarding the work to a political party-affiliated organization. There will be no transparency in the work of the election squads when the people involved in the squad itself has political leniency, said the district president.
