Candidates in Gzb to file nominations from today
TNN | Mar 18, 2019, 07:12 ISTGhaziabad: The district administration has made necessary arrangements for candidates to file their nomination, which is scheduled to start on Monday, for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections.
Administrative officials said that arrangements for heavy police deployment have been put in place to ensure strict implementation of the model code of conduct. A set of instructions has also been given to candidates who would be filing their nomination.
Additional district magistrate (city) Shailendra Kumar Singh said the filing of nominations would take place in room number 102 in the collectorate. Candidates will be able to file their nomination papers from 11am to 3pm on March 18, 19, 22 and 25.
Three CCTV cameras and three video cameras have been installed in the area.
Also, barricades have been raised up to 100 metres, and vehicles would not be allowed in the area. SP (city) Shlok Kumar said that the security will be very tight. Besides the local police, a PAC team will keep a vigil around the collectorate, ADM said.
