Subhendu Chakravarty and Tanmoy Bala were were booked under Section 120/B [criminal conspiracy] and 505/2 [intent to cause public mischief] of Indian Penal Code.

Actors Mimi Chakravarty and Nusrat Jahan, are being continuously trolled in the social media since Trinamool Congress announced their names as candidates.

Earlier, answering a question BJP State president Dilip Ghosh said that the women candidates of TMC, those who act in films, are trolled because of their “character.” The comment created controversy as both the actors indicated that they were upset about routine trolling. Ms Jahan had hit back describing the trolls as “uncultured.”

“Trolling is a new way of demeaning women. We want women to be given more respect. I don't know who these people are and why they indulge in such online abuse. I think they are simply uncultured,” Ms. Jahan told a television channel.

However, the obscene pictures and messages targeting the actors continue to flood the social media.
