Jammu: A soldier was killed; three others were injured in Pakistani shelling along Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir’s Rajouri district on Monday.
“A soldier was martyred and three others were injured in ceasefire violation by Pakistan in Keri Battal area of Akhnoor this morning,” said an Army source.
Earlier, Defence spokesman Lt Col Devender Anand had said that at around 5.30 am, Pakistan initiated unprovoked ceasefire violation by shelling with mortars and firing of small arms along LoC in Sunderbani Sector.
He said Indian Army retaliated effectively and the firing stopped at 0715 hours.
